Roughly one in 10 children need additional support in developing speech and language skills.

Children begin communicating from the time they are born. From an incredibly young age, they learn to understand what you are saying and to develop their own speech and language skills. These communication skills support them in building relationships and developing literacy. Down the road, these skills become the foundation for future academic and vocational ambitions.

Without this extra help, these children may struggle to listen and speak, learn to read and write, and play with their peers.
